Reductive Clearing Agent
Description
Reductive Clearing Agent is a specialized chemical auxiliary for removing unfixed dyes and surface staining post-dyeing. Cleaves dye molecules via reductive reaction, enhancing color fastness and brilliance while reducing process time and wastewater treatment costs.
Properties
Composition: Proprietary surfactant-reductant system
Appearance: White free-flowing powder
pH value: 6.5 ± 1 (1.0 g/L aqueous solution)
Key Features
1. Engineered for reductive clearing after polyester HT dyeing.
2. One-bath processing for light/medium shades (no drain required). For dark shades: Drain → Reprepare bath at pH 4.5-5.0 → Treat at 95°C × 20 min → Eliminates residual dyes on fibers/machinery.
3. Reduces dyeing cycle time, energy/water consumption (≤30%), and chemical load in effluent.
4. Compatible with moisture-wicking finishes; no color alteration under acidic reduction.
5. Superior anti-staining effect on spandex vs. hydrosulfite-based clearing.
6. Non-foaming for trouble-free operation.
7. Application of our reductive clearing agent at 1.0% (owf) significantly enhances color fastness properties.
Application Method
Substrate: Polyester, T/N Blends
After dyeing: Cool to 95°C without draining
Add acetic acid 0.5 g/L → Adjust pH to 4.5-5.0
Reductive Clearing Agent: 1.0–3.0 g/L
Run at 95°C × 20 min → Drain → Rinse with warm water (60°C)
Note: Specific process parameters should be optimized based on the user's existing procedures.
Precautions
1. Lab-scale trials mandatory for dosage calibration.
2. Conduct compatibility tests when co-bathing with other auxiliaries.
Packaging & Storage
1. Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from direct sunlight and rain/moisture. Shelf life: 6 months.
2. Packaging: Polyethylene (PE) woven bags. Net weight: 25 kg/bag.
