Acid Fixing Agent (pH Adjuster)
Description
Acid Fixing Agent (pH Adjuster) is a textile auxiliary specifically designed to enhance the wet fastness of nylon and fluorescent-dyed nylon fabrics. It prevents color alteration during light exposure and other processing, minimizes fabric stiffening, and offers excellent solubility. The product features low viscosity for high processing efficiency and is theoretically effective on other fluorescent-dyed fabrics like cotton and polyester.
Properties
Composition: Condensate of aromatic sulfonates
Appearance: Brown transparent liquid
pH: 9 ± 1
Ionicity: Anionic
Solubility: Readily soluble in water
Key Features
1. Superior Wet Fastness: Delivers excellent wet fastness for acid-dyed polyamide substrates.
2. Color Stability: Minimizes color alteration in polyamide fibers during lightfastness testing and other treatments.
3. Minimal Impact: Negligible adverse effects on the physical properties and hand feel of polyamide fibers.
4. Processing Efficiency: Exhibits excellent solubility and low product viscosity, ensuring high operational efficiency.
Application method
The dosage of Acid Fixing Agent varies depending on substrate type, form, dye concentration, dyeing method, and required fastness level. Apply as a general guideline:
Light Shades: 1.0 - 2.0% o.w.f.
Medium Shades: 2.0 - 3.0% o.w.f.
Deep Shades: 3.0 - 4.0% o.w.f.
Treatment Bath:
Glacial acetic acid (HAc): 0.5 - 1.0 g/L
Temperature: Maintain at 70°C
Time: Process for 20 - 30 minutes
Optimize: Adjust the specific application process according to your company's existing production parameters.
Precautions
1. Prior Testing Essential: Conduct small-scale trials beforehand to determine the optimal dosage for specific conditions.
2. Compatibility Check: If using in combination with other finishing agents within the same bath, perform compatibility tests prior to bulk processing.
Storage & Packaging
1. Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Protect from direct sunlight and rain. Shelf life: 6 months.
2. Packaging: Supplied in PE (polyethylene) drums, 125 kg/drum.
