Hydrophilic Antibacterial & Antifungal Fixing Agent
Description
Hydrophilic Antibacterial & Antifungal Fixing Agent is suitable for fixing dyed cotton and poly-cotton blends (T/C, CVC). This product significantly enhances fabric wash fastness and water soaking fastness, effectively preventing color bleeding, fading, and loss post-dyeing while preserving fabric color vibrancy and durability. Crucially, it preserves inherent hydrophilicity without compromising fabric absorbency. Additionally, it incorporates antifungal and antibacterial components to impart excellent mold and bacterial inhibition to textiles. The textile auxiliaries is formaldehyde-free, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
Properties
Composition: Polycationic compound, functional antimicrobial agents
Appearance: Pale yellow transparent liquid
pH Value: 6±1
Ionicity: Cationic
Solubility: Readily soluble in water
Key Features
1. Enhances water immersion fastness (ISO 105-E01/E04) for cotton blends beyond conventional fixatives.
2. Exceptionally boosts boiling water fastness for reactive/direct dyes (non-detergent conditions).
3. Preserves substrate's inherent hydrophilicity (AATCC 79 compliant).
4. Provides durable antimicrobial & antifungal protection (AATCC 30/M207 certified), inhibiting microbial growth in humid environments.
5. Zero formaldehyde; meets ZDHC Level 3 requirements.
Application methods
Pre-treatment: Thoroughly rinse dyed fabrics (scour if necessary) to remove residual dyes, salts, and alkalis.
Recommended Processes:
1. Padding:
process: Pad at ambient temperature (one dip-one nip, 70-80% pickup) → Dry at 150°C → Cure
Dosage: 20–30g/L
2. Exhaust:
process: Treat at 60°C for 20 min (isothermal) → Drain → Rinse → Dry
Dosage: 1–3% o.w.f.
Note: Adjust the process based on your factory’s existing procedures.
Precautions
1. Conduct lab trials to determine optimal dosage.
2. Verify bath compatibility before mixing with other finishing agents.
Storage & Packaging
1. Store in cool, dry, ventilated area. Protect from sunlight and moisture. Shelf life: 6 months.
2. Polyethylene (PE) drums, 125 kg/drum.
