Phosphorus-Free Chelating Dispersant
Description
Phosphorus-Free Chelating Dispersant is a novel eco-friendly agent primarily designed to soften water by sequestering calcium, magnesium, and iron metal ions. It addresses quality issues arising from high water hardness, dyes, and processing factors during dyeing. Its core functions include:
Softening water in dye baths.
Chelating metal ions.
Dispersing dyes to prevent agglomeration.
Promoting uniform and progressive dye uptake on fibers.
Enhancing dyeing levelness.
Exhibiting broad pH compatibility.
Eliminating scale buildup in dyeing equipment.
Preventing fabric bleaching holes.
Improving color brightness.
Free from phosphorus and other environmentally hazardous components, it ensures safety and environmental compliance.
Properties
Composition: Special phosphate compounds
Appearance: Colorless transparent liquid
pH Value: 5.5±1
Solubility: Highly soluble in water
Key Features
1. Phosphorus-free and eco-friendly.
2. Applicable in pre-treatment and dyeing processes for cellulose fibers, polyester fibers, and blends.
3. Effectively chelates Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Fe²⁺/Fe³⁺ ions to soften water.
4. Strong dispersibility with anti-redeposition properties; prevents re-aggregation and deposition of decomposed dyes/impurities onto fibers during scouring and bleaching baths.
5. Enhances dye dispersion in dye baths, inhibits dye/salt re-agglomeration, improves levelness and color brightness, and prevents shade variation.
Application Method
Add to water before dyes/auxiliaries to optimize process efficacy
Batch pre-treatment bath: 0.5–2 g/L
Continuous pre-treatment bath: 1–5 g/L
Dye bath: 0.5–2 g/L
Post-bleaching/fluorescent whitening: Use 0.5–1.5 g/L at 80–90°C for 10–20 min to enhance whiteness, storage stability, and prevent yellowing
Post-dyeing rinse: Improves wash fastness
Adjust based on existing mill procedures.
Precautions
1. Conduct lab trials to determine optimal dosage.
2. Perform compatibility tests when used with other finishing agents.
Packaging & Storage
1. Storage: Keep in a cool, dry, ventilated area; protect from sunlight and moisture. Shelf Life: 6 months.
2. Packaging: Polyethylene drum, 125 kg/drum.
