I have been in the factory for a week, or rather, I have been working in the post processing factory for a week, and I feel like I am still a student who doesn't understand anything. But after all, the company is not as good as the school, so let's start from what I've seen and heard.


After arriving at the company on the 18th, some people were eager to go to the seaside to see the sea. So on the noon of the 19th, a few of us set off. We took a car from Boshang Supermarket and walked all the way without seeing a piece of waste paper or a garbage bin leaking. The journey from Nanshan to Donghai took half an hour, and the green area exceeded our imagination. This is almost invisible in Xi'an, a crowded city. Not to mention these, almost all of the industries along the way were from Nanshan. Looking from the outside, a vocational secondary school located at the foot of Nanshan was even better than the construction of our school's new campus. What we saw was still a rarity in Nanshan. Later, during training, we learned that Nanshan's main industries were aluminum, textile and clothing, finance, real estate, tourism, education, aviation, winery, energy, building materials, and golf. The industries involved are numerous and extensive. In 2011, it was ranked 163rd among the top 500 Chinese enterprises, with 8 million meters of tightly woven fabrics produced, 5 million sets of suits produced, sales revenue of 50 billion yuan, and total assets of 37.6 billion yuan. Previously, it was only known that Nanshan had a high level of expertise in the textile and clothing industry that Nanshan had unique advantages and competitiveness in various industries. This also made us, who are new to Nanshan, feel very proud.


I have been assigned to a dyeing and finishing factory, or rather a finishing factory. I have learned a lot about the finishing of woolen fabrics, and since I was in school for exams, my memorization is now a bit confusing. The dyeing and finishing workshop includes two workshops: dry and wet finishing. The workers in the wet finishing workshop are almost all male, as the taste is strong and many of them are manual labor. The main equipment for wet finishing includes shearing machines, washing and shrinking machines (those with high speed focus on washing, while those with low speed focus on shrinking), opening machines, and even boiling machines, which are mostly imported from abroad. The main equipment for dry finishing includes stretching and heat setting machines, with single and double grooves, calendering machines, shearing (wetting) machines, pre shrinking machines, continuous steaming machines, and can steaming machines. The main function of a single slot stretching heat setting machine is to dry the fabric and perform initial shaping of the given width of the fabric. The drying temperature is generally 140 ℃, and the shaping temperature is generally 175 ℃. The double slot heat setting machine generally needs to carry out special finishing on the fabric, generally adding softener, antistatic agent, acetic acid, and drying the fabric to improve the hand feel and luster of the fabric. Here, it is specially noted that special care should be taken when dealing with nano cloth or cloth containing silk, linen and viscose. There are strict requirements for the treatment of nanofabrics, and the equipment must be thoroughly cleaned before operation. Fabrics containing silk, hemp, and adhesive should not be folded during treatment, and hands should be avoided from touching the cloth as much as possible to avoid leaving marks on the surface. A calender is a machine that improves the luster, feel, elasticity, and dimensional stability of fabrics under high temperature steaming and pressing. The principle is basically the same as that of a continuous steaming machine, but the blanket of the continuous steaming machine is polyester cotton, while the blanket of the calender is rubber. Pre shrinking machine is used to eliminate internal stress in fabrics, improve the dimensional stability of finished products, enhance the softness, fullness, and elasticity of fabrics, and also has a matting effect on rolled fabrics. The can steamer is a long-lasting shaping process for fabrics.


Although I have been in the factory for a week, it is quite difficult to truly understand the roles of various processes and fabric processing techniques. I will study hard and strive to enrich myself in the coming weeks.
