Introduction to degreasing agents

The degreasing agent is a complex mixture of organic and inorganic chemicals based on water. It is a new industrial degreasing agent developed by using the principle of "emulsification" and "saponification". It has a wide range of applications in industrial fields such as metal processing, food, textiles, transportation, shipbuilding, construction, electrical appliances, medicine, chemical engineering, etc. Although the surface substrates used for cleaning are different, the cleaning purpose is the same, all of which are to restore the cleanliness of the substrate surface and maintain the integrity of the substrate surface.

Oil removal is a key process in metal parts electroplating, coating, and metal processing and forming; Oil remover refers to a chemical agent used on metal surfaces to remove oil, grease, and stains. Metal surface oil and grease can be mainly divided into two types: saponified oil and non saponified oil.

1、 Classification by trait

1. Solvent based degreasing agents usually refer to degreasing agents that are insoluble in water and cannot be diluted with water. For example, Yuman Industrial replaces trichloroethylene substitute FRB-1.1, hydrocarbon cleaning agents FRB-101, FRB-111, FRB-121, FRB-122, and white oil substitute FRB-1.1F, FRB-662, and FRB-663; Traditional kerosene, diesel, gasoline, trichloroethylene, trichloroethane, and white electric oil are all solvent based degreasing agents.

2. Water-based degreasing agents refer to degreasing agents that are soluble in water and can be diluted with water. High efficiency water-based degreasing agents such as WP-751, neutral degreasing agent WHC-1, weakly alkaline degreasing agent WHC-2, alkaline degreasing agent WHC-5, and acidic degreasing agent WP-20 belong to the water-based category.

2、 Classification by pH

1. Acid degreasing agent refers to a degreasing agent with a pH value below 7;

2. Neutral degreasing agent refers to a degreasing agent with a pH value of approximately 7;

3. Alkaline degreaser refers to a degreaser with a pH value greater than 7.

usage method:

1. Mechanical stirring degreasing generally uses water-based degreasing agents;

2. Wipe and degrease, mostly using solvent based degreasing agents such as traditional white electric oil, n-hexane, and Yuman Industrial white electric oil substitutes;

3. Soaking degreasing can be achieved by using both solvent based and water-based degreasing agents;

4. Spray degreasing generally uses water-based degreasing agents;

5. Ultrasonic degreasing can be achieved using both solvent based and water-based degreasing agents;

6. Electrolytic degreasing, using water-based degreasing agents;

7. Steam degreasing, etc., using solvent based degreasing agents.
